Description
- Core & Windings: Copper or aluminum coils that create a magnetic field to transfer energy.
- Transformer Oil: Acts as a coolant and provides insulation for the internal parts.
- Conservator Tank: A small tank on top that allows the oil to expand and contract as it heats up.
- Breather (Silica Gel): Filters out moisture from the air entering the transformer to keep the oil pure.
- Bushings: Insulated terminals where the high-voltage input and low-voltage output wires are connected.
- Radiators: The fins on the sides of the tank that help dissipate heat into the air
