Description
Main Uses (Functions):
This IC is mounted on the inverter’s Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and manages the following:
Sine Wave Generation: It generates the precise signals needed to convert battery DC power into clean AC power (Pure Sine Wave), ensuring sensitive appliances like LED TVs and laptops run safely.
Smart Battery Charging: It regulates how fast and to what level the battery charges. It also controls features like “ATC” (Automatic Temperature Compensation), which adjusts charging voltage based on the surrounding temperature.
Protection Logic: It constantly monitors for issues like overloads, short circuits, or low battery levels, and shuts down the system or triggers an alarm to prevent damage.
A Simple Example:
Imagine a power outage happens at your home:
Detection: The moment the main electricity fails, this Microcontroller IC senses the drop in milliseconds.
Switching: It immediately instructs the system to draw power from the battery and tells the MOSFETs to start switching so your fans and lights stay on without interruption.
Safety Check: If you accidentally turn on a heavy appliance (like a heater), the IC detects the excessive current and instantly shuts down the inverter, displaying an ‘Overload’ warning to prevent the circuit from burning out.
