Description
- Old Refurbished Microcontroller ic
- Testing ok
- Used in Exide STATIC Inverter
-
Short Description:
- Function: It acts as the control center of the inverter, managing charging, output, and protection systems.
- Intelligence: It is pre-loaded with Exide’s proprietary software, which increases or decreases the charging current based on the battery’s health.
Primary Uses:
- Battery Charging Control (Charging Logic): This IC determines when to Boost Charge the battery and when to switch to Float Charge. This helps in extending the overall lifespan of Exide batteries.
- Mains Sense & Switching: When the main power supply fails, this IC switches the inverter to battery mode within milliseconds to ensure that devices like computers or TVs do not shut down.
- Protection Features:
- Overload: Monitors if the load on the inverter exceeds its capacity.
- Short Circuit: Detects faults in the home wiring and shuts down for safety.
- Low Battery: Prevents the battery from deep discharging, which could damage the cells.
- LCD/LED Display: It controls all the information shown on the inverter’s front panel, such as Low Battery, Charging status, or Backup Time.
Symptoms of Failure:
- Inverter Dead: The inverter does not turn on even if the 5V power supply to the IC is correct.
- Charging Problem: The inverter fails to charge the battery even when mains power is available.
- Continuous Beep: The inverter emits a constant beeping sound even when there is no load connected
