Description
- The microcontroller IC (such as the 178362K5 or other ICs in the same series) is the most important part of the Luminous Cruze 36V Inverter. It’s called the “brain” of the inverter.
Its main uses and a small example are given below:
1. Main Functions
This IC controls the entire inverter’s functions:
DC to AC Conversion: It sends signals to convert the battery’s 36V DC power into the 230V AC power used in the home.
Pure Sine Wave Control: This ensures the power wave is smooth so your valuable electronics (such as TVs, refrigerators) won’t be damaged.
Protection: This IC immediately shuts down the system in the event of an overload, short circuit, or low battery.
Battery Charging: It determines when and how quickly the battery should be charged.
2. Quick Example
Suppose the power goes out in your house:
Sense: As soon as the mains power goes out, the microcontroller IC immediately detects it.
Switching: This IC turns on the inverter’s MOSFETs within a millisecond so that power is drawn from the battery without interruption (UPS mode).
Display: It also displays a “Backup Mode” or “Battery” signal on the front LCD/LED screen.
3. What happens if this IC fails?
If this IC fails, the inverter:
Will not charge from the battery.
Will not output when the power goes out.
Or it will display “Overload” or “Error” without any reason.
